I was thinking about all the work that i've put into my car in the past year and it got me thinking....this was not my plan when i bought the car. I knew i was going to do some work, but my initial plan was just the basics....intake, exhaust, and rims. then i started learning more and thought i would stop at 3.4 pulley with necessary items for pulley drop. Now as it stands, this car is my hobby lol.

I was just wondering where everyone planned on going with their car. Did you have a plan for it from the start, or was it like me, the more i learned, the more i wanted

I plan on keeping mine basic. Diff wheels, intake, poss headers, and retro fits headlights. I am curious on how much of a diff a 3.4 makes tho. Is it actually a noticeable diff? I want my car to be and stay as reliable as possible with reg maintenance.

Right now as it sits, the only thing that I've done to it performance wise is an intake.

As much as I would like adding some aesthetic things to it, and adding some performance mods, money is really tight :l

Yeah a 3.4 does make a noticeable difference. you will definitely see an improvement of acceleration. I recommend upgrading the pcm, or getting a tune. i drove around with it for a few months before i started feeling the mod bug again lol

Was just keeping it stock I am original owner its 97 GT. Then a deer committed suicide on my hood and fender got the fender from a yard, could not find a hood ended up getting one from stinger fiberglass. Well may as well make the ram air functional since its there, then the GM dealer set fire to my engine so since I had to replace stuff to find the issue might as well use MSD coil packs (I know stockers are better found out after I bought them) K&N Cone, 8 mmwires, Ahh hell may as well paint it all up under that hood. Damn need brakes ok Slotted Rotors it is. 295,000 on the suspension may as well go with all moog parts LCA, Tie rods,KYB Struts, aw hell somebody just posted a article on analog to digital conversion why not, cd in radio stopped working may as well get something with Bluetooth, Dam leds inside would look nice, hmm head lights are shot why not get clear corners while I have them out. Ummmmmmmmmm that answer your question?

My original plan was to make to purchase a good looking GTP. Then I found a turbo kit for a decent price. It was over after that.

Most of my upgrades come under "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule. If something breaks I replace it with better/mods. Waiting for my exhaust to break so I can get headers, then pulley, then tune. Waiting for my headlights to take a **** so I can get retrofits. Etc, etc. So im sure it will all come in time, just waiting for **** to break! Lol

Lol, yeah I've found after MANY cars and tens of thousands of $'s later, its the best, smartest, and most effective way to conserve the time and money........IF you have the will power to not impulse buy mods and upgrades.......which I think alot of ppl don't have! Lol
