    Remember when Pontiac advertised the GP with the whole wider is better thing?..... i am curious if the GP is wider than most cars or maybe it was with the body style then....

    It was wider than older GPs, but it's not really an extra-wide car or anything, it just doesn't have a short wheelbase.

    It's really not even that wide at all. My Stealth is wider.

    its a 60s advertising gimic, back then yea pontiacs were usually 2 to 4inchs wider then most cars.

    any late model cars no theyre not true 'WideTrack'

    I was flipping through some of my old comics the other day and saw a widetrack grand prix ad it made me lol
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.

    They widened the grand prix by an inch from 96 to 97 models. Not much at all.

    pontiac also said by sticking the wheels in the corners and giving the grand prix a wider track it would handle better in corners...TOO BAD THE STOCK TIRES BLOW -__-
