was driving home last night and thought about making a video - instead i ended up hitting about 120mph and my power steering went out and my car began missing if trying to accelerate. Wasnt the serp.belt.

    any ideas?

I take it you've never drove a vehicle with no power steering ever.

change your pump while its still got life in it, if you drive the car when its dead, you will kill your rack and pinion.

its only going to get worse from here on out.

If the car is running and driving fine now minus the steering issues then you may be ok and not chipped a piston. Most likely when the multiple misfires started the ECM pulled power to keep it from going boom.

Sounds like you could use a new set of plugs and wires, fuel filter, clean the MAF. Then see how it runs. Although w/o a way to actively scan it for KR you're asking for a new motor if you run it that hard again.

Ok so if that was KR -- what could I do to have the chances of it not to come back?
