Hello all! I have an 04 gp gtp that's making a grinding noise. It starts when I reach 30, is present at any speed above that, and is loudest at about 50. When I turn the wheel to the right its quite, it's present when turning left but not as bad as it is when the wheel is straight. Lastly When I accelerate it's not as bad as when it's coasting, but usually my car has a decent coast, since this noise has been occurring it seems to slow down more quick. It sounds as if a brake pad is dragging, and I spent my day replacing those in hopes it was that simple but no luck. Any body have any idea's on what this could be? or where I should start troubleshooting at?

really really bad wheel bearing would be my guess, becuase you said it goes away when you turn a certain way.

Could be a supercharger that needs rebuild....

But it's most likely a bad wheel bearing.

I was thinking it was the wheel bearing but I jacked it up earlier and the wheel wouldn't budge. Is it still possible it's the wheel bearing? and the super charger crossed my mind but i've never dealt with a supercharger problem, what are some indications of a bad supercharger?

if you turn to the right its the left bearing that is bad.

It may not move when you try the 12 and 6 shake to check for loose parts.

But if you spin the tires and hold the spring with your other hand you can normally feel the vibration through the spring of the bad wheel bearing.
