Okay. So I'm on my 2nd starter, I've had the Car for maybe a MONTH. My brother came over today, and I was going to leave, put the key's in to start, they battery is dead. So I thought I left lights on, My brother gives me a jump, and I get the famous, click click click click, By the time I can get out and check the starter, it's smoking, and done for. THIS is the SECOND one in 2 weeks. Any Idea's why they keep failing? I tried beating the snot out of it with a hammer, but my car sits to low to the ground to get to, well for me anyways, I'm not a small guy. Everysince my AC Pump went out, the starter is messing up wicked bad. Doubtfull they are connected but anyways.. I'm tempted to sale this car. It's beginning to irritate me.

What the heck year and model do you drive? Is it the 94 in your name?

Starter is likely not your issue. Especially if your battery is dead. Check the cables for corrosion, make sure the battery is good and alt is charging it properly.

The one's on the battery cables. http://easyacdc.com/wp-content/uploa...rs-250x188.jpg Look like those. The celonoid on the starter, stuck on, and drained my battery, is my best guess of what happened, and keeps happening, so I think I'm going to get new wires for the starter.

If your soleniod stuck..then you would have heard the flex turning the starter after you disengaged it..

Hmm, I never heard that. I'm just going by what the AutoFail people said. This car is nickle and diming me to death. I think I'm just going to take it to the junk yard. The new starter works, but now the car is overheating. Checked the heater core, no leaks in it, checked the oil, no antifreeze in it, Maybe a coolant system flush? Oh, I also found out that the person that owned it before me has had the tranny replaced 3 times. The car only has 132k miles on it. It's like, I love the car when it works correctly, but then when it breaks down I hate it.
