Hey guys. Well, about a month ago I had to have surgery. I didn't drive my car, or even start it for about two weeks. When I finally tried, the battery was dead. I charged it and it worked fine. OVer time I could tell it was losing it's charge. Last night it was almost totally dead..wouldn't even turn over. So today I replaced the battery.

When I tried to start it, I just tap it lightly to the start position, the car turns over for about 5-6 seconds and then jumps to life(like hops up to 2-3K rpm and stays there for about 20 seconds). I shut the car off, and turned it back on about 5 times and it continued to do the exact same thing.

Any other info I can give you guys please don't hesistate to ask. I'm clueless but I need to get this worked out as soon as I can, hate having issues with my car going on.

None at all, I haven't had any other problems with the car.

Well, it did it again this morning. But afterwards it hasn't done it since. I guess I'll wait and see, but to me right now it sounds like a starter issue doesn't it? Like it's sticking or something?

You should be able to hear it if it is sticking. Try cleaning your throttle body out and IAC (idle air control) Passages that are in the TB.

Thanks for the advice. I'll clean out as much of that as I can this evening.

No problem. Thats the only thing I can see it being. I know it is strange that it happend at the same time. But that's my opinion on it.
