Yea I can hear it and it blows on all the levels just not hot. Warm at best and its only 40* out. So I read the dexcool can build up deposites that a flush can't get out. So my only guess is that.

Personally I find it hard to believe an 08 could have built up that much sludge to block the heater core. That said may she have had some kind of failure that let air into the system, dex doesn’t like air.![]()
The first thing I would check is the coolant level; she may have gotten short filled. And not enough coolant will do exactly as you described. The proper amount IMHO is the radiator completely full. Not “I see coolant down there..”, ensure it is topped off. Then check the overflow bottle has about 4-5 inches in it. A good way to check the bottle level is to poke a flashlight into the fill opening. If anything is low fill with 50/50 coolant, if you don’t know for sure what type of coolant is in there just use distilled water.
If your level is good, sounds like time for a new heater core. Good luck
