Yesterday I had installed a homemade CAI. I was playing around in the car driving so on. I noticed that there was a slight tick/knock I examined the car in park no such knock/tick. I raised the rpm's in park still no knock/tick. I began to drive again and still the ticking is there I checked for all lose ends parts I may have dropped everything was searched nothing was found. It only happens when driving under light throttle in between 2.5k and 3.5k rpms other than that the sound is non-existant. Not sure whether its an exhaust leak, lifter collapsed or lifter chattering or a bad bearing no idea. The oil on on is Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5w-30 and has about 2k on it. Im at a loss here car only has 80k not sure where to look from here any input its greatly appreciated thanks to all.

the stock intake tubing is designed to muffle just about all intake noise and sound upper motor noise.

Now that your homemade intake is on there is allowing the sounds to come out and be heard.
