I've had some problems with wet driver's floor carpet and dripping domelight after heavy rain with the sunroof in my '01 GT. After testing, I found front driver's and rear passenger's drains were clogged and water just pooled in the track. Anyway, I cleaned the front drain by picking out some dirt from the bottom of the line where it exits out in the door hinge area and I ran nylon weedwacker line down all the drain tubes to clear anything else. I couldn't see where exactly the bottom ends of the rear drains are so I left those alone. Do they drain into the body cladding? I got the nylon line down within a few inches of exiting all the drain tubes, but either they're clogged enough to not let it go through the final few inches or the line isn't stiff enough to get around a sharp curve in there.
All 4 drains DO move water now, but I just get a slow dripping a few seconds after pouring water into the tracks. If this is normal I'll leave it alone, but if not I'll go to the garage and get them to blow the lines out. How fast should they be draining?
One other question: I know these aren't designed to be watertight, but how tight should the rubber seal around the glass be to the roof? Mine has no rips or cracks, but it's looking dry and a little hard. Is it worth the money to buy one of those rubber restoring sprays?
