I was wondering if anyone has used this on our cars? ScanGaugeII : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge

According to this it can scan for KR GM Specific : Linear Logic : Home of the ScanGauge
I found the gauge and the cable separate on ebay for ~$70 and was thinking of picking it up. If anyone has tried one of these let me know.

$50 cheaper than an aeroforce, but doesn't fit into a gauge pod. If I remember correctly, there's a number of guys that've used them... they're just unpopular for being rectangles.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Wait how is $70 $50 cheeper than a $200 product? Where can you find an Aeroforce for $120?

Ah, I stopped reading halfway through your first post. I was going off the autozone price.

All the used Aeroforce gauges I find people usually want about $180-$200 so I'll take a dive on the Scan Gauge and see it everything works.

I just ordered a scan gauge II. I emailed them a year or so ago asking if they showed KR and they said they didn't but now I guess with the X feature it does.

I liked the SGII but my aeroforce was much better and worth the extra money. I never could get the KR to work with my 96 pcm for my DOHC. when i knew i was going L36 topswap i gave the SGII to my wife for her lancer and sent my AF in for repair. the screen died about 2 years ago. 5+ years of the florida heat.

one of the big differences i saw between the two was the SGII's refresh rate was much slower then the AF. i had the feeling i could have burst KR and never see it. the Xgauge was neat, but seemed more like a way of letting the end user finish what should have been done by the company!

the only positives i have to say for it are that it fit well in my 5th gen monte. as they have a place on the dash that was made for controls on the Police cars that had digital clusters. i widened that area and the SGII fit in there like a glove and looked like it belonged there.

I just sent my Aeroforce back to have the screen replaced. i think shipping and all cost about $50. now that im going SC i deff want the fast refresh of the aeroforce.

Did yours let you choose your refresh rate? Mine says slow/normal/fast.
Hey I have 0.0 Kr yay. Not sure why there isn't a option for oil pressure
All the other X gauges for trans temp, torque etc worked.

Mine said that too but even set to fast it was still slow compared to the old aeroforce I had. Mine was prob a first gen AF. As it didnt do the case learn or turn on fans ect. But would do everything else. I have my dhp if I need a case learn and my fans are set right. If I'm racing at the track I can make a bin just for that. SgII is good but not better the AF. But at the price above its a deal. If u were to pay actual price the AF is worth even $75 more then the sgII

Yeah in my case if you have a 3 button DIC this is cheaper than going through the hassle of swapping to the 5 button. If someone has the 5 button they are probably better off with the AF.

It's because gp's don't have an oil pressure sending unit.

    Nice.
Anywho I can vouch it shows KR. Took a drive to the parts store and there is a nice stretch of highway I saw 2.2kr in first around 4k and 3.5kr in 2nd again around 4k.
It also said I was making 228 bhp. Not sure how accurate that is seeing I only have a tune and a K&n making 23 more hp above stock.
