Stalling, PCM fuse blown

Hey guys, Im needing a little help with my 1998 Grand Prix SE. I was driving it last night and it shut off spontaneously. I turned the key off, then back to run. I noticed the fuel pump was making its usual whining sound, but tried to start it with no luck. I had it towed home and put my ez scan. It read "Vehicle Not Responding". I checked and found that one of my ECM fuses had blown, so I replaced it and tried it again. It still read "Vehicle Not Responding". I was wondering if anybody could shed any light on what could be happening. I am really green when it comes to any work with the ECM so the more detailed the better. It has a 3800 power plant. Changed up your title to get you more exposure.

Did the pcm fuse blow again or is it holding, since you replaced it?

Take a look for any rubbed or bare wires that might be causing the issue. That's the first steps.

The fuse held. I just took my cold air intake off and saw that the wire were a little worn. I have pictures on my phone if I could figure out how to load them here. My filter looks like it could have some electrical burn to the underside of it.

Get a photobucket account then you can past the IMG code to here and then we can see.

Forget photobucket.. tape up those wires. Then do something to keep your cone filter from rubbing on them again.

The PCM looks burned on top. Like really bad. You dont think that those wires arcing could have fried it do you?

You tell me. Either way, I'd start with the cheapest, biggest, most clearly obvious issue and work my way to the more expensive stuff.

Fix the rubbed and touching wires, then you'll know more about your pcm.

This is why I come to this forum. Bill, you are great. Thank you. She is running like she always did now. Tomorrow I will buy some looming to wrap the harness in so this doesnt happen again.

You haven't read enough of my stuff. Post up an engine code w/o at least looking up the name. Sarcasm is my middle and last names. I have many many moments of jerkism, most of the time though..those are outweighed by my helpful moments.
