haha sorry im sure i could of searched it but was too lazy. Since the factory lines use those stainless braided stuff near the top ABS pump, should i keep those or replace the whole line front to back with new stuff?

It is gonna be pretty hard to access some areas, I replaced a chunk of line.

so you would have to cut the line before the leak, flare the line out then tighten them that way?

yea, i used a compression fitting, but apparently thats bad. Make sure you make the line smooth before you do that and make the cuts in a least rusty spot if possible.

If you have a good piece of line you can put a line nut on it and flare it, if not run the line all the way to the abs module. I do not recomend compression fittings at all.

    cross brake?

    The ABS is four channel.

Meaning from the ABS module there is a separate line for each caliper/wheel.

You might want to get some coated line. Its about the same price as the regular stuff anyways.

Make sure you have a good flare tool. Metric bubble flare.

Fittings at brake hose are M10x1.5 or M10x1.0 Can't remember.

I dont know if you can find the size these cars rquire in rolls. It;s eiser just to get long straight lenghts of it, have a nice flare tool (and know how to use it) and a tube
cutter, and also a nice tube bender.
When one of my rear line blew out, I looker all over for a complete line from front to rear but came up empty so I just ended up making them myself.
The rear lines are actually four seperate pieces (on a 2000), and unless you drop the rear suspension from the body, the RR is very hard to get into place.
Also, not having the required tool to make the "bubble ends" I aquired good used ends from a salvage yard, and installed a union to connect to the remaining line on the car.
It is such a serious safty issue with northern cars with rust, I do not know why it is not mandatory that cars have Stainless steel lines, at least on the northern cars.

I like the rolled stuff better, used it several of times and it has a copper zinc coating on it that will never rust and is super easy to bend and play with by hand. soo im grabbing that now and will do a few lines out of the 25 feet of the roll

It will take some time, but good luck.

got one line done, i just ended up cutting about 3 foot out of the 10foot oem section that had any little bit of rust on it. These lines rust realllly bad on those clip holder type things. But when i got the car, it was pretty clean underneath and i just greased all the lines and they still look like new besides the front section where the tire shoots water and snow at the lines and cleaned the grease off. ohh well.

Yeah... and the front passenger line should honestly be replaced before the rest.

Sees more pressure and is in a terrible situation for rot.

    Just take a look.

    the flex hose yes.

but the solid lines are not sold by anyone but the dealer.

Might be discontinued or difficult to find though.
