Misfire?!

Ok, I just changed my LIM gasket, new Plenum, flushed and changed the anitfreeze and switched to the green stuff, and while doing so I changed my spark plugs and wires. Its all put back together and it started up perfectly and then i let it run and was reving it up, then my Service Engine Soon light was flashing. and in the book that says it is misfireing. . . What do i do???

Quadruple check the order of your plug wires.

check for a broken or damaged plug.

Ah crap that sucks. I think im going to just get a different set of plugs. cause apparently NGK's brand new suck ass

If its only missing under load you may have just over tightened the plugs and cracked the porcelain on the plug. Did u pull the code? It should tell you which cylinder or cylinders are missing.

We can't tell you anything unless you tell us what codes you have.

Because a misfire could be anything...from a bad plug, to a bad wire or a crossed wire...to a gummed up coil terminal not making a good connection, to a vacuum leak somewhere...or coolant puking into the engine, WCS that is...

ok today the SES light never came back on or flashed at all. Could it have been the computer resetting itself from the new spark plugs?

If you disconnected the battery while changing plugs then yes, but some codes are intermittent meaning they can go away when fixed. Did your problem go away?

Sounds like you noticed no performance difference at all?
Also sounds like CEL went off and stayed off?
Sounds fixed... First fire up after major surgery, fake problems happen.
If it continually happens -->real problem.

To everyone that said it's fixed by magic. Please.. don't call me when you have troubles. You will not get anything out of whack from disconnecting the battery that would cause a flashing check engine light.

OP. It's not fixed. Check your plugs, check your wires and ensure if you got NGK plugs that the ends don't screw on and are loose. Quadruple check your wiring, because..our motors will run great with two wires swapped. And then show up when loaded etc.

OP. It's not fixed. Check your plugs, check your wires and ensure if you got NGK plugs that the ends don't screw on and are loose. Quadruple check your wiring, because..our motors will run great with two wires swapped. And then show up when loaded etc.

i think we may have a misunderstanding? what i mean is that it sounds like he changed out some bad plugs and cleared the computer. maybe it fixed the problem maybe it didnt. no magic here just a bad spark plug.

The plugs weren't terribly bad but my lim gasket blew and when I changed the plugs it appeared to have coolant on 2 of the plugs. I switched them out with new NGK ones and the SES light flashed for awhile then went off and did it again all during the first start up. I did have the battery disconnected. But ever since that first start up the SES light has never came on again and I quadruple checked the wires. They are for sure correct.
