Had my gp to track today for first time with my xp cam and ic and a tune from zzp which i had told what mods i had exactly, made a few passes, got a 13.4 at 103mph and tried again for a better launch and it started missing at end of track, and i now have 2 smashed white plugs. im thinking the zzp tune had to of been too lean So now im trying to figure out my options, im going to tear it apart and see if it will need bored (probably will) and if it does im thinking a l36 is going in it or maybe a 5 speed and ls4 with f body pcm and harness and lots of wiring

ZZP 1.0 tune is just a tune to start the car and get it to your local tuner. Its not a box tune to just go off and start making pulls.

thats something zzp should have told me when i talked to them about it, i could have drove it to have it tuned on a bone stock pcm if i had to and saved my $, but it is what it is i guess

They do say it on their site...in different words but you get the idea, every car is different, boxtunes can't cover them all. You'll rebuild and you will enjoy it

Yes. We do not lock our PCMs. In fact, we will assist you with the tuning of our 1.0 file if you need help. You can email us your .bin file and we'll help you if you get stuck. We are familiar with all major brands of tuning software for the 3800.
I plan to get a 1.0 just get my car to the tuner, I plan to keep it under boost at all times. The 1.0 file does save you time with getting most of the fuel maps "close" but it still needs a tune.

That many mods and no in car tune...you were asking for this. Still sucks either way. I say rebuild with an l36, get a proper in car tune and keep on keepin. Another yaya for zzp. We're you scanning at all or just assuming everything eas fine?

In all honesty though, I just watched the Maxima guys kill off a huge vendor on the forums, he's been there for over 10 years. He made STB, Sway bars, Coilovers, brakes, and full exhausts. Apparently one batch of 3" exhaust systems was off, it fits, but it bangs on the rear beam if you hit a hard bump, if you haven't seen how tight the exhaust fitment is, these guys complained. Guys buy the 2.5" ebay exhaust and it bangs on the rear beam even worse, but nobody complains about it. But a couple guys made such a big deal this guys has said enough and is slowly gonna close up shop...pretty sad really, it was one of the last customized company for the maxima community. So be thankful we have these companies that make us parts, even though they can be a pain in the ass, at least we have options.

I will really need to find someone in my area this time that has the time, tuner and know how to help me out with tuning it.

i may just get a low mile l36 bottom since they are fully forged iirc? but then i run into already having my gen 3 intake, ic core and ported sc that i hate to have to sell and get a new ic core, intake and sc. how would bolting my current intake, core and sc work? will my l67 intake even bolt onto l36 heads?
