I just bought a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Daytona. Its in really good shape for being 11 years old. It has 33 000 miles, and it still looks new inside. Previous owner was a senior citizen who loved this car and drove it real nice and easy. Very well taken care of, and I am the second owner. I was given a chance to buy it for 5 k, before someone else was going to buy it. So I kinda just jumped head first at it. I want to make money off it, as for I have no job at the moment so I buy and sell things haha. I would be happy if I made 2000 and someone paid 7k. Is this a good price for the car?

Sorry, no pictures at the moment . But I am honestly saying the car is in great shape!

I remember someone paying close to $10 grand for a Daytona that was well kept at a dealer..

I don't think I could do that.. You could maybe get $6 grand.. $7 if you're lucky.

↑↑↑ Precisely.....but you should be able to flip this car. Especially with such low mileage. You should definitely be able to get 7g's +

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

these cars wont be a investment. ever.

a 1969 ZL1 camaro would be a investment kind of car, i dont see our Fwd sporty POSs being worth much more in the future then what theyre worth today.

on the other hand congrads you have a mint car, shouldnt be hard to sell just not for 9k. gl

I jumped at it because of what Iv seen and I thought I could make money off of 5 grand. I still think I can, regardless of what my family members are telling me. I know cars are not good investments, but there are exceptions to every rule. I am not going to put more then 10 miles on it, and putting no money into it other then a car washes and a little gas. My goal is to get 7000 for it. I thought it was possible, but I wanted to ask what you guys thought. Because I have never owned a Pontiac before. I drive a Infiniti.

BTW thanks for the quick replies !

To be honest with 33k miles I'd probably pay 6-7k for it. It would be a super nice dd that you could drive for a long time.

Guys I think by investment he meant he could sell it for a profit, and I'm sure you could.

You can make some money on it but were not going to get rich. Also depends how much time and work you put into it.

If there is one thing I have learned through the years is that my time is way more valuable to me than my money.

I had a buddy with a daytona with over 100,000 miles get a little over 6. You will do just fine just do your reasearch on the car and the edition and then when someone comes to buy it you will know your stuff on it. Poof profit

Thats not always true. There are exceptions. Didn't an old junky Bugatti recently get pulled out of a lake somewhere in the UK & get sold for a couple million?

Just keep the Daytona. Seems like you got a good buy but I doubt you'd be able to turn around & make profit off of it. It's just a Grand Prix. Do the normal maintenance on it & keep it for yourself.

I paid 5500 for my 01 GTP. Its only got 76,000 on it and it is spotless, no rust,no dents,no scratches etc. The car is valued at roughly 7300 online nada or blue book. I think you could get between 7-9 K for the daytona to the right person.
