The issue I am having is with a 2005 Grand Prix with the 3800 Series 3 V6. When you go to start the car engine hot or cold it chokes and spits and sputters and stalls out as soon you try and start it. It useally takes 2-3 attempts to get it to fire over it seems to help giving it a little bit of throttle when attempting to start, once it is running it runs good. It has no codes in the computer fresh or stored and no check engine light and it just got a fresh tune up plugs wires etc the car has 161,000 miles on the ODO. I am going nuts trying to figure it out wasn't sure if this is a common issue on these cars or not or if anyone else has had this issue? Wasn't sure if it could be a fuel pump issue, injectors, mass air sensor, throttle position sensor, coil pack? Please any ideas will help keep me sane. Thanks!

I would start by cleaning your maf and checking your air filter.

Clean the TB and MAF and see what you get. Seems the 04+ cars have an issue with this. And don't use brake cleaner on the MAF. Use electronics cleaner or a specified MAF cleaner avail. at most parts stores.

How brand new are the plugs, wires and air filter?

If the air filter is an oiled filter.. likely it's the maf got oil and got trashed
If the plugs were done, right before it wouldn't start, triple check your firing order.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
