where ya think this is coming fromcoming from?

thats gotta be from the water pump or the hose from the water pump to the radiator is not tight enough. because i would think that ur coolant from a bad LIM gasket would have to be pretty shot for coolant to reach down there. unless someone recently added some and accidently spilled down there.
That could be waterpump. SC idler pulley stand off bolt seepage, coolant elbow, timing cover bolt seepage, alternator bracket o-ring seepage, lower radiator hose at the timing cover.
You need to do more looking to pinpoint that.
a buddy of mine has a small leak now. The only spot i seen wet is the little rubber pieces in the vally of the LIM, between the heads. If those are going bad, will coolant seap out, or just oil? Its really the only wet spot ive seen. and the shield (that is in the first picture of this thread) has coolant in it. here is a picture of the rubber piece i was talking about.
Edit: this is not his car, his is just a wet a little bit on both sides.

Easy way to check the coolant elbow it so wrap a little paper towel around them when the car is cold and leave them there over night.
Otherwise I am having the same issue where it puddles in the motor mount area and I think mine it the coolant elbow going into the LIM and possibly the water pump. Both of which will getting changed out this spring
But, I dont think its the coolant elbow. The wet spot is only right up against the LIM and block. I told him to get the LIM gaskets changed, because that's the only location where anything is leaking.
Yeah I would agree you are right that is a LIM. I just meant I think that is what mine is from.
Where the LIM sits on the motor, that endseal is only to keep oil splash from seeping. There's no pressure and not much oil that leaks out from that seal. You might find your leaks much easier if you cleaned the motor. Heck..your leak could just end up being dirt and some oil giving you the impression of a leak.
Yes..I've run w/o an endseal. Drove over 4-8 hours that way. You don't lose much oil at all.
that's not the car that i was looking at. His is alot cleaner so i can see where the end seal is, is the only place anything is leaking. He has a very small coolant leak, and i couldn't find anyother wet spots...at all. Maybe ill look againd today
Bill..So coolant cannot leak out of that seal correct?
I'm thinking it would be tough
Ok..let's just say..you'd have to fill the crankcase with coolant for it to potentially happen.
My wifes bonneville was leaking coolant after a lim job so i got to looking the other day and it's leaking a little bit from the bottom coolant elbow
