Not something I would do nor recommend. But plenty of people do it with these cars all the time. But I would make sure to give yourself plenty of time for the drive. You don't want to be pushing the car and driving 80mph. Take it slow and easy. Don't run the AC. And watch the engine and transmission temps. I would bet if you are not running a tranny cooler that you will start pushing 220°F after a couple hours. Anything over 215° and I would shut it down, lift the hood, and let it cool off for an hour or so. I think towing is hardest on the tranny.
Wouldn't hurt to do a pan drop to replace the tranny filter and put in fresh fluid before the trip either.
