So I knew changing the back plugs was not gonna be a cake walk, but oh well I have scene and worked on worse. Everything was going smoothly, got the first 5 plugs in and out no issues. So I am on the last plug cylinder #6 plug. And I cannot get the darn wire/boot off for the life of me! to make matter worse it seems the the 02 censor is right smack dab in front of it leaving me zero room to get a needle nose or anything in there to help me out.
I can twist the metal heat shiled all day long, but I can’t seem to get the boot to twist at all! I’m fighting the urge to pull it by the plug wire but honestly I don’t know what else I can do.
Please help! I’m cut up from the heat shield, blood all over my shorts, and my arms are fatigued from trying.
What should I do? Just pull like a mofo on the plug wire or what
(rotateing the engine is not an option and this current time)

Why is rotating the engine not an option? and just break and cut the wire apart.

no rachet straps, And I would perfer not buying them for one plug if there is away to do it without out. In addtion im getting my hand on the boot and getting a good grip, space doesnt seem to be the issue

You dont need ratchet straps to move the engine forward, set ebrake, put car in nuetral, remove both bolts grab the engine and pull it forward with your hands, if you look at the one dogbone mount it has another hole in it further up the mount just put a bolt in there. Thats how I did mine.

you could pull the heat shield off with some vise grips or channel lock pliers, then try to twist the boot off with the pliers as well, do a good twist to break it free before pulling. and ditch the heat shields, they dont help out much, as you can see.

pulling the engine forward does add a few inches that are well used, there was now way i was getting to any of my back plugs with out moving the engine, but thats me.

wearing gloves helps in the getting cut up part too, been there i know what you are talking about, i have large hands and am always bleeding.

when i bought my car first thing i did was a tune up, cyl's 4 and 6 had different plugs all together, my guess is the last guy quit after doing 4 plugs.

Well i was only able to pull it forward enough to that next hole on the mount. lets see if that helps anything

Just did mine yesterday. Having large hands, I have to say that it's impossible for me to do the rear plugs without pulling the engine forward. The ratchet straps aren't that expensive. It's not like you would never use them again. It's like saying I'm not going to buy a spark plug socket just because I'm only changing six plugs.
