    1. is a gasket set necessary when installing speed daddy headers?

    2. what gaskets should be replaced when doing a top swap? can any be re-used?

    3. what bolts can be reused on a top swap from an l67? which should be replaced?

    4. do you need a top swap wiring harness when doing a top swap (that $35 one on zzp)?

    5. if your car is tuned for a 3.6 but your running a 3.5 on a top swap there will be a greater chance of knock correct? also can i run a 3.5 with just headers intake plugs wires and tstat on a top swap?

    6. are drilled and slotted rotors even worth the price if your not getting a bigger size?

    7. does having too powerful of an amp affect speakers in a negative way?

    8. whats your favorite brand of speaker?

(im in very much of a learning mood tonight lol)

With the speed daddy headers u should get new felpro exhaust manifold gaskets or reuse stock one and get a tube of copper rtv.

gaskets to be replaced with top swap are basically every gasket on the top of the engine, u need s/c, LIM, v/c's, Head gaskets, TB ETC.

you really cant re use any bolts with a top swap form what i knwo but i could possibly be wrong.

For the top swpa wirign harness i believe u need the MAP sesnor plug, boost bypass solenoid plug and im not 100% sure about TB plugs form n/a to s/c'd. You will also need all the vac lines that come with a l67

you can runa 3.5 on a 3.6 tune but there is a slightly greater chance of KR but not alot. Alsot yes u can safely run up to 3.4 pulley on headers and supporting mods.

Drilled and slotted rotors jsut keep the brakes cooler that is all they do really and they look better lol. There really is no benefit i can think of right now except slightly cooler and looks

Having to powerful of a amp can potentionaly harm the speaker by pushing to much wattage to the speaker and blow them up than your screwed lol

MY personaly favorite in speakers has always been pioneer.

I do a pile of installs and what I'm writing is how I do things.

    1. is a gasket set necessary when installing speed daddy headers?
No, resuse the factory MLS stainless gaskets between the manifold and head. I clean them with brake clean.

    2. what gaskets should be replaced when doing a top swap? can any be re-used?
All gaskets should always be replaced when talking about head gaskets and LIM gaskets. These can leak oil or coolant. You don't want to have those leaks.

    3. what bolts can be reused on a top swap from an l67? which should be replaced?
The LIM bolts, VC bolts, TB bolts, SC bolts, crank bolt. The bolts you do not want to reuse are the head bolts and the rocker bolts.

    4. do you need a top swap wiring harness when doing a top swap (that $35 one on zzp)?
I didn't use one. I had some connectors and added them to my pcm harness. If you don't have the parts laying around and don't want to go to a JY to pick them up, then order them.

    5. if your car is tuned for a 3.6 but your running a 3.5 on a top swap there will be a greater chance of knock correct? also can i run a 3.5 with just headers intake plugs wires and tstat on a top swap?
Your pulley size on a top swap should be much larger than the normal SC engine pulley sizes. This is because of the compression difference. Basically you are getting much more power with a smaller pulley.

    6. are drilled and slotted rotors even worth the price if your not getting a bigger size?
Technically, no. Not at all. Personally though I moved up to the F body upgrade and would always suggest that as a reasonably cost effect solution for braking improvement. Upgrade the size of the rotor and it'll stop better. Upgrade the visuals of the rotor and all it does it look different.

    7. does having too powerful of an amp affect speakers in a negative way?
Yes, smoke pours out of them if it's improperly sized and improperly tuned. If you held a big amp back through the tuning of it, then you could have a huge amp and speakers that weren't capable of handling its full worth.

    8. whats your favorite brand of speaker?
Boston Acoustics are in my car and I like them. I don't have any real experience with trying different brands though.

(im in very much of a learning mood tonight lol)
No doubt and you have some good questions that someone should know before moving forward.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Amps are tricky, not enough power, you blow the speaker.

Too much power, you blow the speaker.

yup, i blew mine about 2 hours into having them lol black eyed peas came on and i just had to crank it up and all of a sudden wham... there they went. i have a 2000w vector amp hooked up to infinity kappa 693.9i, which have RMS 110w and a peak of 330w. my friend said i needed an amp and that one was on sale for 90 bucks... how many watts should my amp really have being wired to those? or should i not even have one at all? (headunit is 4x50 btw)

110 W RMS, but i highly doubt they'll take it...

    More like 50 W RMS.

No head unit puts out 50 W RMS, more like 14-22 W RMS.

    Big number sells things.

You want more than the other guy right?

Find something that does 50-80 W RMS at 2 ohms per channel.

The stock sound system on my GTP is fine. Given how loud the car is (it's ~13.5 years old and has typical ****ty UAW interior that's as quiet as a freight train), I think dumping cash into a high end stereo on the car is a waste.

Back in the day when I was into car stereos (back in the face-off CD player days), if it was >100W it was typically a POS. They're spouting peak power. A GOOD 40W amp will demolish a low-end 1000W amp in quality and performance.

Like anything, you get what you pay for.

I'd leave it stock - but that's your choice.
