I'm still pretty new to the W body ignition harness issue. Mainly because I've never come across one that went bad. I'm kinda a hands on learner. At least that's what I keep telling the woman.

JMT, you had one keep yoru compressor from kicking on?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Re: ? from BillBoost37:

My car (2002 GTP) did all kinds of screwy things when I bought it earlier this year.

I bought it in Florida and drove it on vacation for a couple of weeks, then drove it home to Michigan. It had about 93k miles on it when I picked it up.

There was a constant clicking noise from a DRL relay (sounded like the turn signal flasher) EXCEPT when I turned off the A/C compressor switch or turned on the Park lights or headlinghts.

The A/C compressor clutch would not engage if the light switch was in the "Auto/Off" position. If I turned the light switch to the "Park" or "On" position, the A/C clutch would work perfectly.

Sometimes all blower speeds would work, sometimes only the highest speed worked and sometimes only the two lowest speeds didn't work.

I had no A/C indicator lights.

All through this time, the DIC display would appear to be OK at times, but after a few minutes of driving it would go very dim. All DIC functions worked. When it was dim, you could see it (just barely) at night, but not at all in daylight. Adjusting the dash lamp dimmer switch made no difference when it was acting like this.

And the HUD display was so dim, I could never tell if it was working at all.

I found the "Sparkys-answers" website and followed his posted diagnostic procedure for the blower speed issue. When I opened up the fuse box, I found no blown fuses, but I had intermittent voltage at the HVAC/DIC circuits.

Since replacing the ignition switch, everything has worked perfectly.
