Howdy Ophidia:
Make sure your condenser is clean. A dirty one will give you high head pressure and ineffective duct temperatures.

Off the top of my head these systems use about ~1.3-1.7 lbs of refrigerant. Silver GTP is right about using gages to check system operation.
