So I just got a new MAF sensor to replace my old one since the code reader at Autozone said my current one was bad ( I had this tested several months ago). I installed the new MAF, but the "service engine soon" light is still on. Two questions:

    * What are the bench top resistance checks (specs) on the MAF so I can verify if mine is truly bad?

    * Shouldn't the "service engine soon" light go away if I install a properly functioning MAF? If it doesn't go out, maybe there is another problem that I will have to scan for again. But if the MAF was the only problem and i installed the new MAF to solve the problem, how do i clear the code? Thanks.

it will cycle its self a way or you can go back to auto zone and clear the code with the scanner.

check the wires at the the plug for missing insulation and cracks. bad wiring will throw a code too.
