So im looking on the doing the u-bend delete for my 03 GT. i got the link for the down pipe from the safely moding your 3800 powered car. It says 90 bucks for a 2.5" DP. But on a estimate how much do you think it would cost to actually get it done to my car. Actually getting rid of my stock DP, then having a shop weld the new DP on.

You should go the extra mile and just do headers... With how cheap they are these days they are easily the best option. No welding or shop required... just some basic wrenching. And if you want to retain the interior quietness of cast manifolds, wrap the headers for another 50 bucks.

where can i find a bolt on DP? and does it still cut out the DP? and im a little iffy with headers. im only in highschool and headers are like 700-1000. sure there are the ebay headers which are like 200 but im sketched out by them. I go to these buick club meets with my dad and brothers and a member had bought a set of the cheap ebay headers for his Grand national, he said they looked awesome, good thick material. but when he actually tryed to put them on his car they wouldnt fit.

I have $200 ebay headers on my Regal... they work fantastically. I'm supercharged and when I went to a downpipe I gained almost no power. The headers woke the car up tremendously.

Realistically you're looking at an additional 50-100 bucks for stainless band clamps and header wrap if you choose.

I just put a DP on my GS and had a noticable difference but a custom tune will help things. ALOT of people here have good luck with the Speed daddy headers I just dont have the time or really cash I buy my parts used hints an AWESOME reason to use a condom...

okay i found them its an Extra 30$, but you probably save from paying the shop to weld them. The bolt in DP, still get rid of the u bend right?

The pipe you're looking at is a 2.5'' off-road pipe... this thing is going to add almost no power or benefit at all to your car. The 3'' bolt in with a cat is $100 more, plus shipping which is expensive from ZZP.

I got my 3'' catted downpipe for like $235 shipped from ZZP... sold it about 3 weeks later for headers.

I got my 3" ZZP downpipe used on here for $90 shipped. They tend to go fast or well they did. Most people do the header thing now so you have a chance if one pops up.

You said you're in highschool... so what I'm doing for you is helping you skip steps. Your top swap is only 6 months to a year away...

If you want to skip a lot of bull**** and needless spending only to be slow... just start saving for a turbo.
I just saved you THOUSANDS of $$$ by going from N/A bolt on, to top swap, to GenV swap, only to sell everything at a loss for a turbo anyway.

MAn if your just looking to bolt on a few more ponies to your N/A without going crazy you need the 2.5 DP just do an open cone in the forsale section theres a link a a $20 AEM one on ebay that pretty much we all got that will slap right on. If I were you tho I do a few minor power adders DP, Open cone and just a good tune up and then dig into handling/looks. You can do qwite a bit to make these boats handle wayyy better and look wayyy better. Oh yea and a custom tune will always be your biggest bang for the buck.

You're dreaming if you think you're goin to get that kinda power out of a N/A 3800. Just do the open cone filter, headers, a good tune up, and get a tuned PCM. If you're looking for any power over 210 at the wheels for a N/A then goin turbo is the fastest way to do it but it'll cost you big.

My car is not stock....It's an empty canvas for a work of art.
