Hey guys so yesterday coming back from Tennessee My SES light came on because the RPMs kept dropping. I took it in today to see what was causing the problem and some of you thought the crankshaft position sensor, which could still be a problem but not the one they found. It was code P0102 which has to do with air flow. They say possibly the MAP sensor, a dirty sensor, possible vacuum hose cracked off or leaking, or the throttle body intake tube loose, cracked or off. How hard is it to check or fix any of this if its one of those?

I beleive that's a bad Mass Air Flow code. First thing you should do is follow all your vacuum lines checking for loose lines or cracks. Then, If you don't find any problems there see if you can clean your MAF sensor. If that dosen't work maybe you need a new MAF.

junk yards sell used maf sensors for about 40 bucks, and there always ebay, look at the top of the maf, and copy down the part # then search for it.

Try an ebay MAF. I got one off there & it still* works. they are reasonably priced. Won't cost you the full $276 some odd dollars it normally would.

*=Dunno when/if it's gonna fail on me though.
