Ran across this when reading Bluegtp91's safe modding thread.

    ZZ Performance

If it delivers 20-30HP for $200 then it is a no brainer, I want it. However, is this something that is safe to do when other mods are limited? While there are other things I could do first, are there any that I NEED to do before adding this insert?

For starters you could make an intake and get a bigger downpipe. Those are good flow mods that will help you get more out of the HV3.It is a worthy mod, you will like it. but honestly you really wont get 30hp unless you have a tune, rockers, and ported throttle body along with intake and exhaust and even then you're only getting a 30whp spike above 5k rpm. But youll prob make an honest 15whp.

I've got work done, just wanted to know if there is anything I need to get taken care of. I have an intake and exhaust with no u bend or resinator. Thinking about getting a new down pipe, so it sounds like this would add nicely to what I have going so far without paying an crap load

Yup it will.I have basically the same mods except i have a glasspack for the res to tone down that raspiness. Do you plan on staying N/A or do you wanna top swap eventually?

i'll stay N/A, don't plan on keeping the car for much more than another year. Looking to do a few more mods this spring so I can enjoy the car for one more summer and make it that much more appealing to the 16 year old high school kid I hope over pays for my car when I'm ready to sell it

Nothin audible as far as exhaust goes but the sound will change from the front of the car when you step on it.Its more of a deep roar sound , sounds pretty sick
