Matt... this ones for you.
I hit the chat box at 9:52 when the car arrived. Got into it and at 12:03 I stopped. Went from driving the car in to this in 2 hours.
Already sent a text message about replacing the mount

good work, the one I did took me like 4 hours to pull.
wow just dropped the sub frame i had my engine pulled in a hour and half so i can replace the flex plate or i would of gone that way
Orange can of DEATH!!!!!![]()
another hour and a half plus parts store runs. It's in, everything is hooked up except axles and subframe.
Add in a JY run for clips. Done, test driven and cleaned the garage. Plus took delivery of the next car/motor/trans/ic ...you name it.
how many bolts holding up the sub frame
Bill you should invest in an engine support bar, makes lining the trans up a lot easier.
Nick..if you notice, there's one chain going front to back on the driverside. I've got a "special tool" that i put on an exhaust stud by the EGR. Keeps it nice. Who has trouble lining it up? Sure it would be nice to have, but it's yet another thing in the garage. Who has trouble lining it up?Being on your back isn't ideal. A nice lift with trans jack and all the adjustments would be the only way to make it easier IMO.
Owner picks it up tonight, I am on to the next one. Four Sixer's car.
5 hours is pretty good. i think i did my first and only trans swap in my car in somewhere around 6 hours. however, i had a lift and a trans jack and stuff at my disposal.
