Ok, so I noticed a noise coming from the front end. Not sure how to describe it, in between a humming and a grinding. Esp when I take off from a start. (Side note, while I was doing some work about a month ago my driver side axle slippped out from the trans, causing some grease to fall out. I put the axle back in and put a new clamp on the boot...btw, the one I got...very stupid design and huge pain to do.) Not sure if this is signs of a dried out cv joint, cuz I've also had bad vibrations also. I've checked the tires, balanced, got new tires, new rims etc so that eliminates all of that. Pretty sure its an axle but not sure which one it is exactly, or another issue?

Nothing huh? Well, ill take it to an auto shop and see what they say. Im thinkin dried out u joint.? Can u replace JUST the u joint on the shaft, or do u have to replace the whole axle? Id like the cheaper route obviously. Thr rest of the axle is good still.

well a humming sound or like a grinding sound on turns and under certain speeds are normally a hub issue.

when axle's break/wear the make a clunk sound when going from a dead stop or when going from R to D and they can make a vibration while at certain speeds and it can make the front of the car feel like its hopping on the ground.

I have vibration, but its not as bad as you make it sound, just real annoying. No clunking at all.
