    Seems fuel related. I'd check the maf sensor and or fueling system.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    The fuel systems on a 97-03, are very different than the 04-08. So fueling problem fixes/symptoms can get all corn-fusing. I agree it seems fuel related. The first item I would check is the fuel pump resistor.
