I'm having a bit of a problem with my left turn signal. I noticed today on my way home from work that the left turn signal light was lit up on my dash. It wasn’t flashing, just lit up solid. When I would turn my turn signal to the right to make a turn the left would go out and the right would start blinking like normal. After I turned everything seam to go back to normal, a couple miles down the road the left light came on solid again. I tried turning the signal to the left, and it would start flashing like normal. Then few minutes later the light would come back on. When I got home I noticed it wasn’t just the left blinker dash light that was light up solid but both the front and back blinker were on solid. They continued to stay on even when the car was turned off. I'm guessing that the problem is something wrong with the turn signal mechanism, but just thought I would see if anyone else has ran into the kind of problem.

check the bulbs in the rear as well as the front or the car, when a bulb burns out half way, like only the tail lights work, but no brake or turn blinker it just stays solid to tell you a bulb is out, could be front or back of the side giving you trouble.

This sounds like a stuck relay in my opinion.

Burnt bulb wouldn't cause the voltage to be applied after the car is off, that would be bad design practices. From what I've read it doesn't sound like he found anything burnt out. I'll go double or nothing.

from what he says he hasn't checked anything yet, i guess we will have to wait till he responds with his findings.

I did check the bulbs the day it started giving me problems and they were all fine. I had thought at first that the dash light staying on when I was driving meant that I had a bad bulb, but when it continued to stay on when the car was off it made me think it was as bad connection that wasn’t making and breaking like it should somewhere. I ended up disconnecting the battery that night so I wouldn’t have a dead battery in the morning. The next morning I came out and reconnected the battery, and everything is normal. I drove it all day and everything worked like it was supposed to.
