you would never make more horsepower on the m90 supercharger then the internals of the engine can handle. Read this= http://www.grandprixforums.net/safel...car-17482.html

    Also.

Colder plugs are doing nothing to help you at a stock pulley, neither is a colder temp T-Stat...that's just giving you crappier MPG's than a stock 195*. Get flow mods...headers. They are $200. Then get a PCM. Then get a pulley.

Then get a custom in car tune from someone local...there are plenty of people in PA that can tune...and tune well.

how would a colder thermostat effect your mpgs that is doing nothing to your engine to make it put more fuel in the engine, its not going to effect your computer to set the fuel higher

When your computer sees that the coolant temp is cooler than normal it richens up the AFR (air fuel mixer). Just like it does on a cold start up...a colder engine needs more fuel. Thus giving you sh!tty mileage.

And I would have at least some headers before you think about dropping pulleys. A smaller pulley is going to suck a lot more air into your engine and you need a way to get it out as fast as it's going in.

yea a 180 thermostat is not going to bother that cuz once your car warms up the pcm goes out of closed fuel loop into open fuel loop

Out the behind talking.....The PCM commands different AFR's at different operating temps. Richer the colder.

Obviously you don't understand how a thermostat works.

A 180* thermostat will make the car run cooler than a 195* thermostat so the car never "warms up" to operating temp and will therefor affect MPG because the ECU is being told to dump more fuel.

It could affect it by as much as a few mpg. On top of that since the car never reaches operating temp and there is more fuel in the system it will cause carbon build up on the valves.

A cooler thermostat is another one of those old school mods that had some merit in the carbuerated, non ECU world.

Please correct me if m wrong tho but if he got a Tune then the 180 tstat wouldnt affect his mileage as long as the said tune had the 180 programmed in it. Man I should know this crap by now

The way I understand it, the out-of-a-box tunes run rich as is. I don't think they take into consideration what t-stat your using...
