im pretty sure the night shots they were talking about were pictures of the cars with tinted tail at night.

I have no clue what this "night shot" business is you're talking about.

i think in the threads he was looking at the people were saying like good job on the tails post some night shots. so they could see what the tail lights looked like in the dark
