Protip: Dropping the cradle isn't for everyone! If you don't have someone who knows what they are doing don't do it, serious injury can occur.

HUH? If you can jack the car up to put on headers..you can remove two bolts and lower a cradle 3 inches.

More serious injury will happen from going under an improperly jacked up car (falling on you) than lowering the cradle incorrectly and dropping it out the bottom (maybe an arm or hand at most)

We did this exactly like the How to thread I posted yesterday. Great when it's all fresh. This weekend I'll zip off a bunch of pics to add to the write up.

So to recap. Worst case scenario you loose the ability to clap. But danger aside even the most inexperienced wrench turner can accomplish this while drinking

Well...that's where I'm going to tell you. I don't suggest anyone work on a car while drinking. When working around something this heavy, or even just the belts where a hoodie pull cord etc could pull you in and mame you.. you should focus all your attention on the machinery and project at hand.

Sure I've had a few beers while working on cars. I've also had a few close calls that have woken me up in the past. Always be careful, use the right tools/good tools and you'll find things are much easier.

note to self. do not wear hoodie. lol i dont know what it was about that statement but my heart nearly stopped . maybe its because im always in a hoodie.
