So last weekend I posted about my cars issue to remain running. Reset the system and the car ran fine until this morning when i tried to start it. She sputtered but started up and died and the whole electrical system was gone. Key wouldnt come out. So I left it for the day and when I back out it sputtered and started right up for me to bring it in the garage. Then after a few minutes the electrical was out again. Battery is fairly new, and I am totally clueless. Help?

Sounds like you have a short/ loose wire somewhere. It could even be a bad ground. Go through all your wiring, grounds and fuses looking for nics and anything else that may cause it to not operate properly.

Do you know if there is any way to replace the bolt that fastens the cable to the battery or do i need a whole new ground cable?

Go to Autozone and get a new battery clamp or whatever its called. The part that goes from the wire to the terminal. It should be what you need if I understand what you're looking for. That will keep you from needing to replace the entire cable.

Something like this should be an easy solution for your problem for under $10, and if you ever upgrade your audio for a sub, you can just wire it in to the same connection.

You don't have the kind of battery with external terminals then... Umm... You might have to try going to a hardware store and getting a bigger bolt and trying to make it fit, or get a new battery.

so that fixed bolt comes out of the lead pretty easy then? I really want to avoid the new battery though. Money is hard to come by in highschool lol

Its hard to say without seeing it. You may be able to get away with using a larger bolt, but if you strip the "terminal" where the bolt goes in you could have issues, but if it doesn't strip it, that could be a simple cheap fix.
