I've had my inner door panel off for awhile (read years), now I've fixed my slow window motor and I'm ready to put everything back together. But I found these:

I've had a few good suggestions from my local peeps, but I just wanna see if anyone might have a definite answer of where they came from.

I don't remember removing them from anything, and nothing appears to be loose. They were just lying in the bottom of the door.

If you think you know please chime in.

Those look the nuts for when you remove your rear seat. There are 2 studs with a u on the bottom part of the back seat

Lastnight at work I learned that in Texas if a sheep is stuck in the fence it is mountain time, otherwise it is central time.

Well considering you said you were working on your window motor and they were inside your door panel, I say they look a lot like the nuts that hold the window regulator to the door. Sometimes new regulators have a couple already on them so the regulator will "hang" until can get them all started which leaves you with a couple extras. Double check though, but that's my guess.

The case is solved thanks to you meddling kids and that darn dog! More specifically Andrew_99GTP, who I must apologize too for so quickly dismissing his idea (even if not done public, I still feel bad). My mirror has always been quite solid so I thought that there was no way that the nuts came from it.

However, while sitting in my car today I decided to go ahead and peal back the foam in front of the mirror mount nuts, and look what I found:

IMPOSTERS! It looks like I am not the 1st to have this door panel off after all.

Thanks to all who chimed in some ideas, its you who make forums like this one informative and so great.

    What do I win .

On a side not it looks like your mirror was bent all to **** at one time, probably even broke off. The reason I say this is because the paint is pealing off like the metal was bent at one time.

Yup I noticed that as well. I was thinking about how I need to go in there and cover that bear metal up.

After I bought the car I started noticing little things that indicate being in an accident (misaligned rear bumper, missing emblem on trunk, etc). The more I find, the more I wonder how bad it was, or how many accidents it was (BTW carfax reports nothing, just consider that).

    Thanks again Andrew.
