I have a spare vac line spot on my vac tree that i dont need/use. I need to find the most effective way to plug it closed to prevent a vac leak.

Silicone cap from the parts store. I've seen them as small as 1/16th inch. And Poker is right, the colored ones do last longer for some reason.. Black ones on my wagon got replaced twice in 4 months, switched to the colored, and they are still on there.

if the rubber cap is too small it will crack and fail.

Rubber or silicone as far as I'm concerned.
