Please don't be offended, but this site and actual Technical data don't seem to get along. I can find parts for bolting on to improve performance, but not actual CFM flow numbers and proper voltage for TPS sensors and so forth. So anyhow........

My cat is starting to plug up and I was thinking about getting the 2.5 DP since my car is NA and has 261k on it modding is not going to happen. It gets about 1500 to 2000 miles a week put on it.

What I am wondering…. I want the catless DP since emissions are tested here. If the rear 02 is just installed it will set a code since the fuel will be too rich running down the pipe.

Has anyone on here used a spark inhibitor as a cap on an 02 sensor? It can be screwed into the pipe this way, but doesn’t can’t read the exhaust. Do it all the time on the Fords, but haven't even seen it mentioned here. Anyone have any information on this?

With Fords you can put a resistor in and it ups the volts so the rear 02 reads the proper amount as well, but I can't find the voltage or how that information is shared with the PCM from this site.

itll probably work just fine doing it that way. the resistor thing i dont think works, though.

a couple people have done this with success, but the real solution is to just set the code to no report in the PCM so that it won't light up the SES.

If you have the $ for a new PCM go ahead, but for those of us that don't this is a $5 solution.

Steve at ZZP didn't care for this solution either, but he said it did work.

This was Steve's solution. Only $60.00 and he wouldn't tell me the resistor used so I could go to radio shack and buy it for $1 and use it instead. ZZ Performance

Anyone know the open and closed volt readings for those lines? That would tell me which resistor to install.

the problem i have with emulators is that they die, just like o2 sensors. i ran one for a good amount of time until i just decided to run the post cat o2 sensor and call it a day.

Yes, all it does is completes the circuit. Its on all the time with the ignition, so it will burn out eventually. It is a whopping $5 total for parts in that and he has it at $60. Wish I could make that much of a profit on parts.

The more I look at that site the more Likely I am to just pull the DP and gut the cat and put it all back together.
