    is there a metal shim/gasket that goes on before the hub??...maybe they consider it a dust shield??...i wasnt sure if there is supposed to be one or not...the one i took off didnt...

    Yes blue the dust shield/spacer goes between the knuckle and the new hub with the notch set so that the ABS wire sensor can go through.
    Frank, make sure you get a Timken hub bearing, it is American made. Anything Chinese made will most likely fail quickly.
