I have noticed when it rains that road grime passes between the hood and the bumper cover and flys back on to the supercharger, plug wires, and other stuff. I cleaned the engine today and found lots of salt grime from the snow we had a few weeks ago. Not sure if the 04+ cars are supposed to have some sort of seal here or not but mine does not. Has anyone used something to help prevent this? I have looked at pics of other cars and they are like mine.

That is the way they come from the factory. I added a 1" thick weather strip seal from the Depot to the underside of the hood. I have not had the car out since October, so I am not positive how much it will help. Should make a big difference though.

Ok, good to know. I had been wondering about it. By the way, your car looks flippin' awesome. I am trying my best to find the 06 SE front air dam like you have. Any suggestions where I could look?

    Thanks

You can try the dealer or numerous online GM parts vendors.

I have added a foam seal as well and it helps but there is still spray coming up from underneath

I would consider this, except for a fear that it might cause heat issues (though obviously not a problem in the winter). Perhaps I could rig up something from the kind of plastic replacement screen used for storm doors. I tend to get small pebbles and such laying on top of my filter that I have to periodically dump off - though I have no way of telling if that's how they got there.
