I'm getting ready to install a ported m90 and I have a spare lim. The car more than likely will not be intercooled. I am not sure if I should open up the lim or not. If so does anyone have a write up on how to because I can't find one

You could, but its kinda a waste of effort.

Unless the H bridge has already been removed.

Im in the same boat..already got the H bar removed, and the inlet is also ported (Gen 3) I want to just open up inlet on the LIM...

Looked around on the forums, havent seen any write-ups, or templates...so any pointers would be great.

take your stock gasket and cut out the inside of the centre red/orange line and then drop the gasket on the LIM then take a sharpie to it so you know what to cut.

    remove gasket and cut.

Thats all I did when i opened up mine for the intercooler.

    Pictures shortly.

    As promised:

I'm running an intercooler that requires that particular gasket hence the extra hole for the rear head PCV.

Sorry for the crappy picture links, but I dont have any pics of mine before/after..

Theres a bar going across the Outlet of the supercharger, limiting the size of the outlet.

see the bar going across the middle of the supercharger...that the H bar.

Now, when you port the outlet, you also typically remove the H bar...here it is without the H bar.

You only remove the H Bar when you intercool your car...otherwise it doesn't matter.

Plus...a ported LIM does nothing unless like I said...you have an IC or ported heads to match the ported runners.
