Battery about 8 months old, alternator about 6 months old. Battery is not being charged properly, trouble with it last two weeks, having to jump start it now.

Could it be the voltage regulator?

Considering the voltage regulator is inside the alternator, it would seem you have replaced it already.

I would start by cleaning and checking all the wiring to the battery and alternator. Just don’t look at it, actually take them off and clean with a wire bush. I would start with the fender well ground, it is a POS on all GPs. Take the battery out, and then you can see the ground clearly. Same thing, unbolt it and clean it up.

Also, I have to ask. Do you have anything “extra” hooked up directly to the battery? Like HID headlights or an amp?

Okay, thanks. I do not have anything extra hooked up. Gonna go down to my local AUTOZONE and have them check it out for me.
