When I bought my '06 GP GT S/C about 3 months ago the coolant was orange to an almost blown. I told the dealer and they willingly flushed my system for free. When I made the appointment they asked the color and I told them, he said okay we will make sure we have dextrol on hand. So, the flush was done and the reserve tank had orange new coolant in it. I checked it last week and the reserve tank was a little low. I went to autozone got orange dextrol to refill. I checked the level yesterday and the level was fine but the coolant in there is green.... I know there was orange in there when I went to fill it and I filled it with orange... could they have filled the radiator with green and the tank with orange and go unnoticed for almost a month? How bad is it to have the two different colors in there?

having 2 differnt kinds of coolant is not a good idea.

beside when dexcool want to have a party with air, bad things happen. Dexcool HATES air and that is prolly why it turned brown or it just could be old.

But if I were you just switch to green coolant.

I talked to the dealer who sold me the car and flushed the system, he said they would flush it again but they think there will still be green in there... He said it's hard to get all the way in engine block. It took over three hours last time and it's out of my way. Is there any research on this? I keep seeing it back and forth on searches I've done.

They are not flushing it then. When I hook up a machine to flush it it pumps in all new fluid and all the old fluid out.

Well hitting back on something. Why would the reserve tank be orange when I get the car back from the flush and find the tank a little low top it off with dextrol and now it's green green? If they for some reason filled the reserve with orange and the radiator with green could this go unnoticed for about a month?
