Should I just go to an auto store and get the cheapest set or will I notice better performance with an expensive set of MDS's and $10ea plugs? I have a stock 1998 Grand Prix Gt. I may upgrade the stereo system if that makes a difference.

Get some new acdelco platnium plugs and stock wires.
If you're staying rather stock, then get Delco plugs or Autolites that are in stock temp. range.
Stock wires just get stock
So stock wires as in OEM or the set of $30 Bosch/Duralast from the store? Thanks!
any life time warranty ones then replace them every year for free.
LOL replace them every year for free. i never thought to take advantage of it that way...
next time i do plug wires i'm going that route.
i dont even know how old mine are it's the same ones that the car had when i bought it last summer.
Please post in the correct section.
Delco plugs and wires work great for a stock car.
Stock wires and stock plugs would be best. It's what I use even with an upgraded sound system.
How does a sound system affect your ignition system?
I think he means that is all he plans to do to the car, no engine work.
He could also be talking about potential radio interference via the spark plugs. I've not heard of this being a problem with any modern car regardless of plug or wire type.
because all modern cars call for plugs with resistors and the wires are shielded............
