Well, kinda. My 97 GP show the Low Tire Pressure Light instead of TCS light. But same issue.

My problem is I have no clue why it is on. I borrowed a Snap On scanner and while driving, when the ABS light comes on, a C1236 - System Voltage Low light error comes up. So now that stumps me. My battery is fine (just had it checked recently), I have a good, almost new alternator. I have scanned it with my PT when this happens and the car voltage is right around 14.4 volts.

So, what's the deal? Anyone have any suggestions? Bad EBTCM? Or what? Not sure where to go from here....

Edit: This is fixed. See below.

Have you checked the ABS sensors on the front hubs. Mine came on a while back and while doing a inspection around the front hubs, I found part of a branch that was lodged in behind the hub and it had popped the wires out of the sensor. I'm not sure what readings they should have, but starting at the source might give you a idea. Hope my little mishap can help you. Back roads during a storm suck. That,s the only place I can figure I picked up the piece of branch.

Yeah, I checked both hubs. Neither bearings seems like it is bad. Both connectors are tight and clean. Nothing logged or anything. I have a spare hub, but I haven't changed any out because I that doesn't seem to be the problem. Last time a wheel speed sensor went bad, the scanner I borrowed pointed me to the correct hub. This time, the only code I got was the "C1236 - System Voltage Low" Just makes no sense to me....

Do you think that there might be a relay in line somewhere thet might be going bad. If you haven't already checked for that. Haven't look at my manual yet, just trying to think of any possible solutions that might be of some help. I'll also try and do some online research and see if I can find anything.

Well, I finally fixed this last night. In January I had replaced the front Left wheel hub with a used one from Ed. And I had never touched the front Right since I have owned the car, so I thought what the hell. I had an extra front hub from Ed that I threw on last night while I was changing my oil. And it fixed the problem!

There was no play in the bearing. The wires all look fine. Nothing to indicate anything wrong. But there must be something wrong with the sensor inside. And FWIW, it is an aftermarket hub, not a GM one. The hub I replaced it with is a GM hub from Ed.

Thanks for all your help guys!
