Re: resonator delete question
99% of chambered mufflers sound awfully horrid.
I had them...but I had a resonator. My buddy has super 44's on his GT...and its got PEM's, 3" Catless DP, and otherwise stock catback. I like it...sounds great for a 3800. But...in the long run...its still a 3800...and sounds crappy.
Re: resonator delete question
ok you guys make good point so i will keep it on and hunt down some flow masters.
Re: resonator delete question
or don't and have a better sounding car by buying some borla's
Re: resonator delete question
flowmaster's = drone all day everyday
Re: resonator delete question
Keep it or it will sound like my car....I hate it and that's why its going back on. There's two pulls from behind the car...YouTube - Noahs Comp-G on the dyno and those are flowmaster 40's...again stay away, unless some one gives them to you like they did me then go for it cuz free is awsome
Re: resonator delete question
man i just may get tips for it instead.
Re: resonator delete question

Re: resonator delete question
everyone says that it sounds bad with no res, but does that also go for cars with a cat and stock mufflers?? i can't believe that it would be that bad with stock mufflers... anyone have the res delete with stock mufflers? thanks...
Re: resonator delete question

A resonator delete and stock mufflers buzz even worse and sound crappier than flowmasters with no resonator.
I HATE the sound of stock mufflers...they sound like a sick cat coughing up an 8lb. hairball.
Headers and a resonator make these cars...mufflers...is debatable. Although, a cam does too.
Re: resonator delete question
i have a 23 inch glasspack and mo muffs with a ubend delete all other is stock. i must say im impressed at the sound basically the only time i hate the sound is wot but then again at wot i can hear my charger more so is all good. no drone and its not really that loud. the best is when im cruising about 60 or 65 and the rpms are at about 2kish its got a nice sound to it. i have actually had a few people tell me its the best v6 exhaust theyve heard and i actually got complimented by a 350z boy...lol so it cant be all bad.:D
Re: resonator delete question
i had the res removed, it had a hole and sounded horrible, vibrating thru the floor... with a straight pipe and stock mufflers, it sounds stock to me while driving... obviously i can't hear it from outside while driving, but standing behind it idling, it sounds stock... i was actually hoping for it to have some kinda sound to it, but its damn stock like quiet...
