    Hey guys,

I have always hated how my washer bottle on my 97 sits right on top my battery. So since I was ordering some parts from Ed recently, I had him throw in a 98+ washer bottle. So now, before I go tearing into it, has anyone else ever replaced this on their car? I don't know what I am going to get into when I tear it apart and just wondered if anyone has any insight.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, I think it is 98+ that have these in the fender. I will change my title. Sorry for the confusion.

Mine is a 1997 and I swapped mine out.

The GF's is a 1997 as well, and she wanted the one like mine as well, so swapped hers out some years later as well.

Only thing "extra" you have to do is open up the wire loom with the connectors in it, and cut some of the electrical tape from the factory and stretch/extend out the wires some more, and then wrap everything back up, and put extra loom on the exposed wires. You shouldn't have to cut and splice anything, the factory wires will reach.

Other than that, its bolt in and refill.

The ones I sold to others included all the hard wear to bolt them to a 1997, clips, and bolts etc. Hopefully ED was nice enough to include those since there wont be any you can reuse from your old one.

We have some pictures from when we were doing the GF's car up at a local mod day i might be able to find for ya if your interested.

No, there was not the extra hardware included. But that is not a worry for me. I have enough cans and buckets and trays of old nuts and bolts from who knows how many parts cars, installs, junkyard trips, etc. So I am not worried about that.

Biggest thing I worry about is if I need to pull the front bumper. I have heard both yes and no from people. I would assume that if the holes are there, I can just remove the inner fender, slide the bottle in, and bolt it up. But if I have to drill holes, I would imagine the bumper needs to come off.

    Any comments?

Of all the ones I have installed, I have yet to drill a single hole in the body of the car.

To make things easier for me and for the sake of doing the installment right the first time, I always pull off the front bumper. Its not hard to do this and it makes the job so much easier. You "can" install it by just removing the right wheel and taking out a few screws and pulling back the wheel well liner, but it kinda sucks working in that cramped of a space. I'm a pretty small guy...and I hate it, so off comes the front bumper ever time for me.
