Which brand of HID headlights are the best and the cheapest. And... Are they worth it? I've been thinking about getting them for a while and don't know whether they are or not.

I'm pretty sure that you need a whole kit with ballasts and harness(es) for a proper HID setup. In other words, it's not as simple as swapping out bulbs (and it's pretty expensive).

I have a '98 GTP and swapped out the lenses and bulbs with OEM style replacements and the illumination is plenty adequate. The OEM lenses are polycarbonae and will yellow/dull over time. You'd be surprised just how much brighter a new set will be if yours are old and faded (as mine were).

    Expensive? Yeah right.
Ddmtuning.com will net you the best deals on hid's. They're plug and play, nothing fancy required. Mount the ballasts, swap the bulbs, plug in the wires.. Simple as that.
$35 I think it is for the whole kit, not much more than good halogen bulbs.. And way better light output.

If you took 2 min to look around you would have found the Ultimate HID thread in the visual section.
