I dropped off a spare 97 m90 to be ported at a local machine shop. The machine shop checked over the s/c and said there is some very slight scoring inside the casing but nothing bad, and that some of the teflon is coming off the turbines. They suggested getting new ones. What do you guys think.

it isnt a teflon coating either and the reason its calling off is because they were all coated incorrectly at the factory.

That's normal wear and tear, run the unit like it is, and you'll be fine.

Holy ****, I'm typing in italics too!

Be sure to run your EGR.

It'll add to the coating for a better seal.
