It started with trying to install the "Ignition Saver Mod". While under the dash I found the "Vehicle Theft Deterrent" (VTD) system connected with wire taps and stripped back main leads with wires wrapped around and taped. I know this system was not installed at the factory, someone did a very sloppy job.
I read about the system in my dealer shop manual and found out that the computer will prevent fuel delivery if it senses and intrusion to the system. I want to remove the pieces but don't know how to reprogram the computer so that the car will start after I remove it all.
Does anyone have any information about doing this?
    Thanks for any help!

if you have the PK3 system then the car wont have any fuel without the correct RFID code.....

If you want, just remove the RFID piece from the key grip and tape it so it sits vertically on the ignition side of the PK3 box thats just above or below the ignition itself in the steering collum.

its much better than aftermarket ****... no fuel? no car....

I just finished the final connections last night and started it up! Everything works as it should, DIC came right on as did the fan, and the headlights did not dim down.
Now I need to disconnect the main #10 AWG and a couple #14 AWG leads again to reinstall the metal under column support bracket, and reroute the leads through the bracket, then reconnect those leads.
My next big project is a trans rebuild. I just received the ASTG manual in the mail. This will be one of the most challenging repair projects I've performed to date. It's always great when repairs/mods work out!
