okay so on my 2000 pontiac grand prix the supercharger belt broke and destroyed my serpentine belt. I feel like its going to be a very big process on doing this, so i was wondering if anyone knew the easiest way to do it. thanks

Well, assuming the belt broke from normal wear, it is a very easy task replacing the belts. You just need to route the belts and use a wrench to compress the tensioners when you slip the last part of the belts over. The belt routing diagram should still be under the hood and this is all wrench turning 101 stuff so no worries. But just to throw you off now is the perfect time to inspect your idler/tensioner pulleys, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if one was bad.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!

A bad pulley has a "whinning" sound to it when spun by hand. Any others have a way to describe how the bad pulley will sound. Mine had the whinning sound so bad that you could hear it increase and decrease with RPM's while sitting in the car.

turn the bolt the opposite direction of the one that lets you take the belt off.

It helps if you take the coolant bottle out first. two 10 MM nuts hold on the bottle and then the clip on the fuse box and you can lay it between the oil filler cap and rad.

Then a 15 MM socket and ratchet and you should be set.

    Does the tensioner pulley wobble?
If it doesn't whine and spins freely the tensioner pulley is still good.

Otherwise to get the tensioner pulley off you need to unbolt it from the block or head usually there's 3-4 10 12 or 13 mm bolts holding it on.

thats the for the tensioner assy.

and i believe they're 15 MM on his year. Three 15 MM bolts.

Its one 15 MM to take the pulley off.
